Missed You All
Hello. I miss the days of fanfiction and art. What's up with all of you? How is the fandom and well, how are you doing on your own art and writing journeys?
I had to step aside due to a lot of mental health problems. I've become much better at managing my conditions and feel ready to go back to doing more of what I loved when I was sick. We've been out in the country for several years which has been absolutely fantastic for my depression. I get to spend all day relaxing in the quiet instead of stressing with sensory overload.
I've been working on my personal novel. Would you believe I have almost 400 pages worth written up and I'm only 2/3 of the way through it? Wow. I'm even adding sections as I go. Lots of fun. I think folks will enjoy the story. Seriously considering that, once I get it published I will put it under Bluegrass Brooke instead of my name. It's become such a part of my writing that I couldn't really publish a story without using my writing name.
I know I still owe art and I hadn't heard back from those I did owe. If I owe you art, let me know. I'm happy to get some drawn up for you. Been a long while since I've drawn, but I think I can manage.

Hi, all
Update been a long time in the works it seems. I'm doing well, I have been busy at work and with my animals. Currently I have two horses - full size and mini, a bottle lamb (about 4 months old now), two gerbils, my dog Ginko, and of course the family cat. Maybe I have too many pets . . . XD Probably not.
I am trying to get back into the world of art and writing. I know there are some folks I still owe art for. Please do not be afraid to send me an email at bluegrassbrooke@gmail.com if you are owed art. I don't bite. It's been a mess. A BIG mess on my end and I feel awful it's been so long.
Mental health is finally under control and I'm feeling the best I've felt in over 5 years. So that is huge. Means I can finally tackle some of my dreams.
Currently my hope is to do more writing, focusing on that. I will be working on a personal fiction novel - fantasy, romance, light-core steampunk. Look forward to some kind of info on that in the future. It's my work, so it will be sure to have some pretty dark undertones and overtones in addition to some lighter elements.
I am open to doing some story edits and review commissions. If you are interested in improving your writing and getting detailed feedback, it may be of interest. I'll be posting about that soon.

Devious Journal Entry
Right now, the reason I can't do much artwork is that I'm having to work full time, clean 10 stalls three times a week, allot plenty of time for my dog, and am trying to write a novel. It's a crazy amount of work, the stabling situation especially so because it just about sucks up all my free time. I am hoping very much to get my horses moved to a pasture situation soon where I won't have to work so much just for my horses' board. Plus it'll be better for their health. It's thanks to my new job I can even look! Q_Q Very grateful to be hired on at a local meat processor. They are wonderful folks.
So, long story short, I am hopeful I will regain some actual free time soon. Provided my girls can find a great new place to stay.
When I do get established at my job and my horses moved, I am considering doing a consulting type commission for writers. I won't do full story edits, that's just not me, but I thought on doing some consulting work for young or new authors who need feedback. But of course, I need to finish artwork too!
Lots I am hoping to accomplish, but not much time at present.
